About us
As a qualified primary school teacher with over 14 years experience, primarily in Early Years we have set up Embers to provide Forest School and outdoor Learning experiences. We can provide one off sessions or tailor a series of sessions based upon the curriculum. I have a MA ed. In physical education and childhood development, many years classroom and leadership experience and a background in outdoor education.
Helping children become confident, resilient and creative individuals
At Embers we aim to provide experiences which will connect individuals with nature through opportunities for open ended, child/self-initiated play. Through being immersed in nature in this rich way, children especially, are able to become confident, resilient and creative individuals; lead healthy and active lifestyles and have an understanding of and connection to the environment.
Providing experiences which connect children with nature
Forest schools plan experiences and opportunities around each learner’s specific needs. As trained facilitators of Forest Schools, we know that we need to be driven by the learner’s interests. Each learner should be given a full chance to reach their optimal potential.
